John Lukondi's Satellite Images Danang

Observed Through Google Earth

I had been able to get some pics of the DaNang VN area via a Google satellite program. If you had not seen these before, should be interesting.

#1 is the airfield and surrounding area. DaNang harbor is to the north........

#2 is the south end of the base. VMGR compound was to left of numbers. Looks like all had been bulldozed level.......

#4 is closer view of south end. again, our flight line and compound area are to the left of the numbers 35. .............

#12 is same south end of runway, but rotated 90 degrees....pic mid#6 find this odd...being this base is now civilian and military airfield...find little to no activity going on...only found a cluster of aircraft halfway up the strip on the west side........

#18 believe these to be old Marine Corps hangars (Marine side)...

Matter of fact, these same hangars were pictured in Leatherneck Mag a short while ago........Enjoy....................John L
